Our Stay at Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa

Before becoming parents, we took one unforgettable trip together to the Maldives.

We stayed at Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa for 4 nights, and it still feels like one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had.

What made the trip even better was the value.

At the time, Hilton was running a promotion where staying 3 nights gave us an extra night for free. On top of that, we booked the stay using Hilton Honors points, which made the whole trip surprisingly affordable compared to what we expected from a Maldives resort.

🚤 Easy Access from the Airport

One of the biggest reasons we chose Amingiri was the accessibility.

Unlike many luxury resorts in the Maldives, we didn’t need to take a seaplane after arriving at the airport. Instead, we could reach the resort directly by speedboat, which made the entire arrival experience much smoother and less tiring.

🏡 Beachfront Pool Villa

We stayed in a Beachfront Pool Villa, and honestly, the room itself was probably the highlight of the trip.

The villa felt incredibly private, spacious, and peaceful. Waking up a few steps away from the beach and having our own pool felt almost unreal at times.

🍽️ Food & Restaurants

Food was another pleasant surprise.

Every restaurant we tried at the resort was excellent, and we genuinely enjoyed every meal during the stay.

If I had to point out one downside, it would probably be the breakfast situation. Since there was only one main breakfast restaurant, eating at the same place every morning for four days started to feel a little repetitive by the end of the trip.

Still, that was a very small complaint compared to how much we enjoyed everything else.

🐠 Snorkeling Experience

One of the most unforgettable moments happened while snorkeling near the resort.

We unexpectedly came across a huge family of manta rays and ended up following them through the water for a while. It was one of those surreal travel moments that still feels hard to believe even now.

We also joined one of the resort’s paid snorkeling excursions, which turned out to be completely worth it.

🤍 Would We Go Back?

Honestly, probably not — but only because the Maldives has so many incredible resorts that we would rather try somewhere new next time.

But as our first Maldives experience together, Hilton Maldives Amingiri was unforgettable.
