About Us
Hi, we’re 3 of Us — and yes, there used to be just two of us.
For years, we were a couple who traveled. We packed our suitcases and chased sunsets — from the clifftop pools of Bali to the misty mountains of the Alps, from the streets of Barcelona to the ryokans of Japan. Travel was our thing. Our shared language. Our favourite way to spend time together.
Then our little boy arrived, and everything changed — in the best possible way.
Why We Started This Blog
When we found out we were expecting, the question wasn’t “are we ready?” — it was “do we have to stop traveling?” We decided the answer was absolutely not. So we kept going. Japan at 14 months. Japan again at 16 months. And we’re already planning what’s next.
3 of Us was born from that decision. It’s a place where we document both chapters of our story — the adventures we had as two, and the new kind of adventure we’re figuring out as three. Because we believe that becoming a family doesn’t mean giving up the life you loved. It just means sharing it with someone who sees the world with fresh eyes.
What You’ll Find Here
Honest travel stories — the good, the chaotic, and the genuinely wonderful. Hotel and ryokan reviews from places we’ve actually stayed. Real tips for traveling with a toddler, from someone who’s done it and lived to tell the tale. And occasionally, the kind of travel we did before — because those stories are worth telling too.
No filters. No perfectly curated highlight reels. Just real family travel, written by people who are figuring it out one trip at a time.
Where We’ve Been
As a couple: Bali, Barcelona, Chamonix, the Dolomites, and more. As a family of three: Fukuoka, Yufuin, and Kyoto — with a lot more on the list.
Come Along
Whether you’re a couple about to become three, a family already deep in the toddler travel trenches, or just someone who loves a good trip story — you’re in the right place.
The adventure is just getting started. ✈️
